Volunteers

Volunteers are Challenge New Mexico's most valuable resource. From setting CNM's course, to staffing programs, to fund-raising, to miscellaneous clerical duties, volunteers help with practically every aspect of the organization. Without them, Challenge New Mexico would not exist.

Volunteers may serve in a variety of capacities from the Board of Directors to the recreational programs, all can be rewarding experiences.

"It's a great way to share my passion of skiing with others.. I've learned about people, myself, and my behaviors, patience, and understanding", stated a volunteer with the adaptive ski program. CNM volunteers are caring, enthusiastic people. Many of them go through special training (especially with the recreational programs) to learn about CNM and adaptive recreation. "The smiles you get all over- from every person involved put skiing into a different realm", explains a teen-aged volunteer.

Volunteers are needed for all of the adaptive recreational programs, board members, arts & crafts festival, fund-raising and many miscellaneous tasks. To inquire about becoming a volunteer, please call 988-7621 or email director@challengenewmexico.com
